- Code Bloat: Websites built with Elementor can suffer from code bloat, meaning the generated code can be more extensive than necessary. This can impact website speed and SEO, as search engines may penalize sites with unnecessarily large and complex code structures.
- Updates and Compatibility Issues: WordPress regularly updates its core software, and themes and plugins must keep pace. Some users have experienced compatibility issues with Elementor after WordPress updates. This can result in broken layouts or features until Elementor releases a corresponding update.
Assessing your website’s specific needs, considering performance concerns, and evaluating long-term flexibility are essential steps in making an informed decision. Ultimately, the choice of a page builder depends on your individual preferences, technical requirements, and the goals you have for your WordPress website. I don’t recommend it for the majority of my clients for the reasons noted above.
